Today was a historic meeting in Bermeo where the Tuna Cities Alliance was sealed within the framework of the Bermeo Tuna Forum. A day in which representatives of the cities of Manta (Ecuador), Victoria (Seychelles), Pago Pago (American Samoa), Concarneau (France), General Santos (Philippines) and Bermeo (Bizkaia) enjoyed a ‘twinning’ that ended with a symbolic act in La Tala, where a bench has been installed to commemorate the celebration of this Bermeo Tuna Forum and which will serve as a tribute to the signing of the Alliance of Tuna Cities that has taken place in this town.

After the institutional acts, the attendees enjoyed a guided visit to the Arroyabe and Campos canneries to finish with a twinning meal in the Casino of Bermeo.
